Who is Vicious Verse?

Hi, I’m Nerje!  Nice to meet you and all that.  I’ve done a few reviews and features over at OzHipHop.com but I needed a place to write more.  I’m the only breeding this beast at the current time, but in the future I hope to expand and incorporate writers from within the scene all over the country.  If you have an article or idea for one, hit me up on the contact page.

Why Vicious Verse?

In all honesty, it’s a bite from the popular US hip hop blog Poisonous Paragraphs,, but it encompasses a bit of the spirit I hope to endow this blog with.  In hip hop terms, a verse is usally a complete set of words that sums up the point being made in a track, and I have a habit of making my points very directly and agressively.  I’m often caught playing devil’s advocate – if something isn’t being said that should probably be taken into account, I’m usually game enough to spit it out.
